About These Birch Ornaments
The process of plating our Birch Ornaments in gold is called electroform. A special solution is applied to the leaf that allows it to be plated in copper, nickel and finally gold, silver, or even iridescent copper. It is a very time consuming, tedious process that takes five days from beginning to end.
Since each Birch Ornament is a real item of nature, there will be some natural variation in size and shape; Birch Christmas Ornaments are priced based on average size. These are not molds, so they will not look exactly the same. Each Birch Ornament is unique! | |
