About Coupons & Redeeming Coupons Planning a wedding is fun, but it can be quite a financial burden as well. In our effort to help you save money, Brides' Village offers coupon codes in our newsletters. Coupons are also periodically offered on other websites.

If a coupon is for $x or x% off a specified order amount, that order amount is the product total, i.e., the total before shipping and tax. Only one coupon may be used per order. Please be sure to make note of the coupon's expiration date; our Yahoo! Shopping System does not allow coupons to be redeemed after they expire.

How Do I Order?

It's easy! Just click the "Add to Cart" button by the product you want; it will be added to your order and you will be shown the item(s) in your shopping basket. If you want more than one, simply change the quantity and click "Update Quantities." For personalized or engraved items, each item with different engraving must be ordered separately (i.e., order 1 keychain with "Kim," then order 1 keychain with "Anne," etc). To continue shopping, select "Keep Shopping" - you will be returned to the page you were on. You may view your purchases at any time by selecting the "Shopping Cart" button in the left column of each page.

When you have finished shopping, select "Check Out" from the shopping basket page. You will then be given the opportunity to review your order and make any last-minute changes. On this screen no shipping or tax has yet been added. Choose "Continue With Order" and your order will be shown with shipping and tax (if applicable). After you complete your name, address, method of payment, etc, just select "Place Order." You're done! We will promptly confirm your order via e-mail. Our Yahoo! Shopping cart system is completely secure. For more information, see Order Processing below.

Please note that if you use "Express Checkout with Yahoo Wallet" instead, the system will bypass the area that asks for a coupon, and any comments fields. If you'd like to use a coupon or make a comment, please use the regular checkout.

If you are redeeming a coupon, the coupon amount will not show as a deduction on your order until the final Order Confirmation page.

Order Processing

Our staff is dedicated to providing you with the highest level of service possible. Once you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation via e-mail. We then review your order and send you a "shipping update" email stating the estimated time to ship. Next we confirm your credit card and fulfill your order. You will receive another shipping update when your order is fulfilled in whole or in part which includes tracking numbers. If we have any questions we will notify you and await a reply before continuing with your order. Our goal is to have all orders processed within 24 hours unless the order includes engraving or an out-of-stock item.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. To pay by check or money order, you can e-mail, write, or call us with your order. You need to give us your name, shipping address, wedding date, payment information, and e-mail address. Will I be charged Sales Tax?

We are required to collect sales tax only on orders shipped to addresses within the state of Pennsylvania.

When Will I Receive My Order?

On average, orders are completed and shipped within 2 to 4 business days, with most orders shipping within 24 hours. Some orders take longer due to engraving (especially during peak bridal season), or stock availability. A small selection of our items are ordered from the manufacturer according to need, which may take a few extra days. To hold shipping costs down we try to ship orders complete, so we will hold your order until all items, such as those including personalization, are gathered at our main facility. You will receive an update of shipping time via e-mail after you place your order. For shipping time and rates, see Shipping Information below.

When Do You Charge My Credit Card?

Brides' Village will charge your credit card before fulfilling your order or proceeding with personalization or any other custom order.

Is My Credit Card and Personal Information Safe?

Brides' Village uses Yahoo! Stores' shopping cart system, which uses Secure Socket Layer encryption. Your credit card information is transmitted in encrypted form across the Internet, then decoded when it gets to us. Online credit card use has proven to actually be no more of a risk than traditional use. If there is ever a problem, you will not be held liable for any charges. Brides' Village guarantees all personal information is kept confidential and will never be shared in any way.

Shipping Information

Within the Continental United States

Our usual shipping method is UPS Ground Service; at times we use the USPS at our discretion. We cannot accept P.O. Boxes for a shipping address unless you are ordering an aisle runner 125' or over, or your address is military (APO, FPO, etc). The shipping method we use is based on each item's warehouse location. Delivery generally takes 3-7 business days. We also offer upgraded shipping.

Shipping Rates Our standard ground shipping rates below apply to the continental United States only. We do NOT impose any handling charges on any size order.

The shipping amounts we charge our customers is only a percentage of the expense we actually incur. We have tried to make these rates as fair as possible. Our standard ground shipping rates are:

  • $6.95 for orders $0 to $35.00
  • $7.50 for orders $35.01 to $75.00
  • $8.50 for orders $75.01 to $150.00
  • Orders over $150.01 will be shipped FREE (via Ground shipping only within the continental US).
Upgraded Shipping We do our best to ship within 24 hours, but please be aware that choosing an upgrade does NOT guarantee your order will ship the same or next day, especially engraved items. Upgraded shipping charges that appear on your order are estimates; we will adjust the shipping charge after your package is weighed. When completing the "Wedding Date" on your order, please do not fill in an earlier date than is necessary. We will ship quickly regardless of the date you state; we simply need the date to know how to ship your order in the event something is not in stock, etc. This prevents unnecessary upgrades, resulting in lower shipping costs not only for us but also our valued customers.

Shipping to AK, HI, PR, VI, or Guam Our software defaults to UPS as the shipper; however, we will ship your order via Priority Mail and charge you according to current USPS rates. If you prefer UPS, e-mail us or make a note in the comments section of your order. We will email you with the UPS rate; your order will be held pending your approval.

International Shipments

Our software accepts orders shipping to Canada and the UK. Shipping costs are determined based on package weight, dimensions, and destination. The shipping charges which appear on the order are an estimate based on an average-size package, and will be adjusted once the appropriate shipping costs are determined. If the shipping cost varies by more than $10 USD, your order will be placed on hold while we contact you for approval. Your order will not be processed until your approval email is received.

For all other international orders, please contact us specifying the items, quantities and shipping address. We accept orders from other locations at our discretion.

All international orders are shipped via the US Postal Service; this has proven to be the easiest and least expensive method. However, if you would like a quote for UPS shipping, please contact us.

Packages shipping to locations outside of the United States are subject to the destination country’s duties, taxes, and/or brokerage fees. Duties and taxes are mandated by your country, not by our company. The customer is responsible for paying these additional charges. If the customer denies payment and/or refuses the package(s), Brides' Village will charge the customer’s credit card for the return shipping and any unpaid fees, as well as restocking fees as stated in our Returns Policy. If you have questions regarding your country’s duties, taxes, or other fees, please contact your local customs department.

Most orders ship promptly (within 2 days). Personalized items may take 4–10 additional business days. Your entire order will ship in one package when possible to minimize your shipping cost. Aisle runners will ship separately and will increase the cost of shipping due to their size and weight.

Shipping time is usually 5–15 business days depending on the destination. There is NO guaranteed delivery time for international shipments. Please allow time for all possible conditions, including Customs delays, that may impede arrival time. Brides' Village will process your order as quickly as possible; however, the customer is responsible for allowing sufficient processing and shipping time. In the rare event of a missing or damaged shipment, etc, replacement packages will be shipped via standard US Postal Service Priority Mail; however, if the customer chooses to upgrade shipping, they are responsible for any associated costs of that upgrade. Returns due to shipping delays, understandably beyond our control, will be processed according to our standard Returns Policy.

Can shipping charges be refunded?

If we make a mistake, or your item arrives damaged, we will be happy to refund your shipping charges. We do not refund shipping in any other situation, including product returns.

Returns and Cancellations

To return an item, you must e-mail us at for authorization within 7 days of receipt of your order. No items may be returned or canceled without prior approval. Returns are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee due to the extensive time involved in processing the order, fees paid for the charge and credit to the credit card, etc. This fee is waived in the case of damages.

We do not allow for returns or exchanges on engraved, embroidered, or personalized items (except in the case of a damaged item; see below). If you simply don't like the product, you may return the item if it is undamaged, unopened and in resaleable condition. We cannot accept any returns after the wedding date. After we receive the returned item, we will issue a credit on the original credit card number, less any discount you received. If you prefer to exchange for other merchandise, we will apply a "store credit" on another order. We will not issue refunds without approval; each situation is reviewed individually. We will not credit any shipping charges except on damaged items (see below).

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of placing your order, if it has not yet been shipped, UNLESS items on the order include engraving or personalization. Cancellation of orders for engraved or personalized items must be approved. If the personalizing process has begun, the order may not be canceled; we will, however, credit you for any items which have not yet been personalized.

Damaged Items

We work hard to deliver your merchandise to you safely. If an item is damaged in shipping, please e-mail us within 48 hours for a return authorization and instructions. Damaged items will be replaced at no charge. Engraved items which are damaged will be replaced with the exact same product with the exact same engraving, no exceptions.

Items may be purchased without personalization by simply selecting "No Personalization," etc, and leaving the appropriate boxes blank on the order form. There is no discount for items purchased without engraving. Engraved items are not eligible for return for any reason other than damage.

Please order your engraving carefully. Each product has specific engraving options stated in its description. Please complete the boxes exactly how you want the engraving, i.e. July 10, 2009 or 7-10-2009. Some of our items, such as our Cathy's Concepts products, always engrave in the same manner; for example "Julie and Steve" will be engraved "Julie & Steve" on all Cathy's Concepts products. Please be especially careful of items ordered with monograms, and place the initials in the boxes in the proper order. Examples and instructions are shown by each product that a monogram is available on.

Product Availability/Backorders

Most products are in stock and available, so we rarely have back orders of any substantial amount of time. In the event of a backorder (orders not expected to ship within ten business days), you will be notified with an expected ship date. You may choose to cancel a backordered item; however, if you cancel a backorder that would normally ship within 30 days, any discounts which were applied to your order will be reversed (unless the discount was earned without the amount of the backordered item). If for some reason we cannot satisfy your order within 30 days, the discounts will be honored on the portion of the order fulfilled.

About Our Products

In this world of lightning-fast Internet service, shopping online has become commonplace even for not-so-Internet-savvy people. We have chosen to take a different approach to the products we offer; it is both our advantage and our "downfall."

Let's take caketops, for example. We offer 100+ caketops instead of 25. We offer many in colors that aren't the easiest to find. To do that, we stock the most popular, and bring in the not-so-popular according to orders we receive. These take just a few days to arrive; but oftentimes, a few days added to a weekend suddenly seems like an eternity (even for us!). We then check all products for damage, package them, and ship your order.

The advantage is that our customers have a whole lot more to choose from. The disadvantage is that an order can take 12-48 hours to ship (if in stock); or it can take a week if it's an item that we needed to bring in from a warehouse. Stocking usually means we can ship products faster, but that is not always the case. We decided that the trade-off of sometimes having a slower ship time paled in comparison to being able to offer our customers many things they'll never find anywhere else.

We know that Internet shoppers like to receive their orders quickly, and for that reason we are constantly increasing the number of products we stock. We wanted to take this opportunity to explain to you that 90% of our orders ship within just a few days (and we're really smug when they ship in just a few hours); and to ask you to understand when they take a little longer. We are committed to bringing you hard-to-find products. Even though this raises our staffing and shipping costs, we will continue to operate in this manner so that you have the best selection for your wedding.

For these reasons, we have added Product Availability notes to each item; for example "Usually ships in 2-3 business days." If you order 4 items that state "2-3 days" and one item that states "5-7 days," your order will take 5-7 days because we try to ship all orders complete to lower shipping costs.
