Electroform Gold Dipped Roses
Our gold dipped roses and flowers are created through a process called "electroform". Each flower is hand shaped just as it begins to bloom and is coated with a proprietary bonding solution. Once dry, the flower can be plated in copper, nickel, and gold. The process is labor intensive and time consuming -- crafting even one gold dipped rose takes up to five days from beginning to end.
The beauty of these flowers is that every feature that makes them so special and unique is perfectly visible and preserved. Electroform leaves, for instance, retain all of their details from their shape down to the delicate pattern of their veins. If the maker decides not to fully plate the flower in gold, electroform leaves even keep their exact color, making each of these gold roses a vibrant keepsake that will neither wither nor fade.
All of our gold roses come directly from nature and will feature slight variations in size and shape. Since these are real gold dipped roses and not imitations cast from molds, our pricing is based on average size and no two of our roses will look exactly the same. Each and every one is unique!
Roses and Their Meaning
Roses themselves, meanwhile, are one of the oldest and most popular symbols in the world, representing everything from the stages of love to the causes of political movements. For the ancient Greeks roses were the symbol of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Even today in many languages the word for rose is the same as the words for "pink" or "red". A single stem red rose can represent newfound love and is a popular Valentine's Day gift, while cream roses are often given on Mother’s Day as symbols of gratitude.
While the language of flowers is ultimately what each of us chooses to make them, particular rose colors have traditionally represented certain emotions and qualities.
Pale Colored Roses -- Represent lasting friendship and warmth.
Blue / Dark Blue Roses -- Represent mystery and allure.
Burgundy Roses -- Represent eternal beauty.
Green Roses -- Represent peace and calm.
Orange Roses -- Represent desire and enthusiasm.
Pink Roses -- Represent profound grace, appreciation, and gratitude.
Red Roses -- Represent not just love, but also courage and respect.
Yellow Roses -- Represent happiness, joy, and freedom.
White Roses -- Represent spirituality, innocence, and purity.
With their proud and beautiful history, roses and their meaning will continue to fascinate people around the world for generations to come. Whether it's a gold anniversary rose, a bouquet, or a single stem red rose, every rose says something special, a message that is as old as humanity itself.
