Disposable Wedding Cameras:
The use of the disposable wedding camera has become increasingly popular in the last decade. Wedding disposable cameras provide an affordable alternative for those who cannot afford a professional photographer. They are also often used in conjunction with a photographer to capture candid shots of the wedding reception guests and bridal party, providing the bride and groom a unique perspective of their wedding.
The wedding photographer and videographer can't be everywhere at once, and their primary focus is the bride and groom. With the help of the wedding guests intimate moments will be preserved that might otherwise be lost. Using disposable wedding cameras is also a great way to include friends and family in the fun as they click away taking snapshots of other guests. Place a disposable
wedding camera on each table at the reception and ask guests to use the camera to take photos around their table area. Or have baskets of wedding disposable cameras at various locations around the wedding reception for guests to pick up and snap photos at their leisure.
Keep in mind that sometimes it is difficult to "get the ball rolling" in spite of the cards that accompany the wedding cameras with instructions for the guests. Ask a relative or friend to walk through the reception area while
waiting for the bride and groom to arrive to instruct the guests how to charge the flash, advance the film, and then to pass the disposable wedding camera on to someone else. This will ensure a variety of photos, and also a variety of
quality since not every guest will take good pictures!
Appoint a person to collect the wedding disposable cameras before the reception winds down, or set a basket by the door for people to drop the used cameras into. Consider numbering the disposable wedding cameras with the table number to make it easier to keep track of who may have taken the picture, and locate any missing wedding cameras afterwards. |
